Indeed, the ancient Egyptians used linen to cover the mummies of the pharaohs, and the Phoenicians traded it in North Europe for centuries. Linen is obtained from the "linum usitatissimum" plant and has a stalk between 40 and 70 cm tall, composed of 70% cellulose, and originally comes from Asia Minor. In modern times, linen fiber has acquired an important role in everyday life, ranging from clothing to furnishings.
