Coffee Stained Cotton - Cappuccino

A fabric born from experimental research that transforms into a vibrant surface where technique and creativity meet.

The base is a soft, white stretch cotton that is initially prepared through a special finishing treatment. The fabric is first wetted and then treated with a particular aggregating product, designed to promote reaction with the subsequent processing phase.

At this point, the most surprising element comes into play: coffee powder. Enclosed within special perforated spheres, it is inserted along with the fabric into industrial washing machines. During the movement of the machines, the powder gradually escapes from the small holes in the spheres, depositing itself on the fabric in a completely random manner. It is precisely this natural dispersion that creates the unmistakable spotted effect, with beige shades distributed spontaneously and uniquely on the white background.

Once this phase is complete, the fabric is washed again to remove excess powder and subjected to a final fixing treatment that stabilizes the pattern and guarantees its durability over time.

The result is a fabric where no two meters are identical: each cut presents a unique arrangement of spots, making every creation exclusive. A process developed together with artisans from the Prato textile district, combining innovation, experimentation, and the comfort of stretch cotton in a fabric with a contemporary and absolutely original character.
